My toddler was bit at nursery!

Mums! Please help because I’m BURNING! My 19month has been seriously bitten by another Child in his nursery. This bite is on his face so close to his eye. The staff was not watching they now gave the child 1:1 staffing even though he has done this beforehand and has displayed aggression and behaviour issues to other children! This is a nursery is barking with a good ofsted rating this is not the first time he has been bitten by the same child. Who can I futher report this too or what would you do in this case?

Sorry to pry but do you mind sharing the name of the nursery as worried if its the one my baby goes to. So sorry this happened to your little one its awful x

Sorry this happened! I would speak to his key worker than arrange a meeting with management and see what they say/plan to prevent this from happening again. If you are still not happy with the outcome, Start looking for other nursery and see if you can move him to another one. Also speaking to other parents at the same nursery helps x

Sorry to hear this happened, it is important to protect your child by taking actions. I checked suggestions by AI: 1. Speak to the Nursery Manager - Ask for a detailed incident report. - Request a meeting with the manager to understand what happened, how they handled it, and what changes they are implementing. 2. Report to Ofsted 3. Safeguarding Concerns – Local Authority. 4. Document Everything - Take photos of the injury. - Note the dates and details of all communication. - Keep copies of emails, messages, and reports from the nursery. 5. Raise the Issue with Other Parents - If this is a repeated incident and other children have also been harmed, there may be a pattern. Other parents might want to speak up too. 6. Consider Withdrawing Your Child - If you’ve lost trust in the setting’s ability to keep your child safe, you can consider removing your child and looking for an alternative nursery.
