Natural Birth or C-Section

If you could choose would you choose a natural birth or C-Section with a low lying placenta? I previously had placenta Previa but my doctor said it is now 1.63 cm away so far enough to have a normal birth but with a slight chance of bleeding and needing a c-section. I am so back and forth on what to do!

I’d choose a natural birth! Recovery is so much easier in my opinion.

I also have placenta previa and hoping it moves on time! I’m 33 weeks and I’m 1.8cm low lying. How long have you been 1.67?

See that’s what I’m leaning towards I’m just so worried about needing an emergency c-section anyways! And I’m 32 weeks and just got measured yesterday and it was 1.63cm which my doctor sees as being far enough away for a natural birth

Natural! From what I’ve heard from cousins a c section is a lot longer and harder of a recovery

It sounds like it’s already far enough from your cervix. I had a c-section last time and not only is the recovery difficult, there are medical risks associated with c-sections. Especially if you plan to have any more children.

Yeah the c-section scares the crap out of me. Too many horror stories about it ripping back open. You can’t even hold your baby right after he comes out. That was a moment I wouldn’t trade for the world! I was standing up and walking that same day. And I was home within 2 days. I went to the park with my baby in a stroller in 4 days easily. If I had a c-section I’d have been at home or still in the hospital taking care of my wound. But I’m prepared to have a c-section if they tell me it’s best for my baby and me. I am praying everyday that is not the case though and I’m not religious! Lol

I had an emergency c section with my first and am happily getting a scheduled c section for my second even though I’m a good candidate for a vbac. After going through labor - only to get a c section the first time, I’ll take a scheduled one instead of risking another emergency. But it’s totally whoever is giving births call!
