@Bianca did it hurt?
It was uncomfortable and not the most pleasant thing but breathing through it helped and the thought that ‘this isn’t labour and I’ve already done labour’ also helped. But I was nervous before
I was in hospital for 5 days, I got the sweep 5 times, on the last day a Spanish midwife went in once and I had the most fun experience while giving birth it was so easy.. so I realised the other nurses didn't have a clue, just giving me a f*nger*ng session for free during my stay. So I promise myself that the next child is coming when they want to come out, they are not going to induce nothing, especially when they don't know what they are doing.
I’d personally wait it out. Just from past experience. Baby will come when they’re ready and a sweep is a type of induction so increases the likelihood of intervention xx
If you’re not high risk, then I’d wait it out. You’ve made it this far, what’s a few more days?
I’d say wait too
@Jade💃🏻 What if I end up going beyond 42 weeks with no contractions. Thats why im scared I don’t want an induction
@Aylool if your first went well, then have confidence that you will be good this time as well. And isn’t a sweep a type of induction? I got to 41+2 and had my waters broken, no hormones, laboured fast, natural. I was high risk tho so succumbed to having my waters broken. Maybe give yourself to 41 weeks?
I was on the fence too at 40 + 3 but went ahead and got it as thought more opportunity to get another one of that didn’t work before having to be induced and my little boy was born a day and a half after and it was the best birth I could have possibly wished for. But you need to do what feels right for you - I decided there and then in the room weighing up all the options in my head 😂
