Gestational diabetes

Hi, when do you normally get checked for gestational diabetes? I’m 20 weeks on Sunday, I’m so thirsty all the time and I’ve been going to the toilet a far bit(pretty sure that’s a UTI as its little wees and painful) and my mouth has been dry, but I’m just wondering does everyone get tested?

I think it’s usually 26 weeks but only if referred at the beginning of the pregnancy it’s not a standard test that everyone has x

I have my glucose test booked for 27+ weeks. I had it booked with my midwife from my last 16 week appointment. My brother has type 1 diabetes so I get tested. So no not everyone x

I’ve got mine booked in at 24 weeks due to having it in a previous pregnancy x

I’ll be 26 weeks when I have mine. It’s an at home test so will come through the post. I was on the edge of having it with my first. I’d have one every week but I didn’t actually have it.

I will have mine at 26 w I think due my granny had it in the past.
