Preeclampsia

Has anyone been on the borderline for preeclampsia? at my 20 week scan last week baby was under the 5th centile due to my placenta and got put on aspirin, now midwife is keeping an eye on my blood pressure. It was 128/91 today and she said i’m borderline. Has anyone got any tips to help the preeclampsia? like a diet change or general exercising more? Trying to not worry but it’s obviously hard not too! Thank you 🥺

High blood pressure alone isn’t pre-eclampsia, have you got any protein in your urine? They can give you medication to treat high blood pressure, have they given you any? My SIL has been on medication for high blood pressure for months, she has now made it to 37 week and they’re planning to induce this weekend!

@Ellie No protein in my urine so that’s all fine, they found abnormal dopplers and baby is really small at my anomaly scan which apparently puts me at higher risk of preeclampsia, I have a notching placenta which is reducing blood flow to the baby so i’m taking Aspirin to thin my blood to get blood flow to the baby so that apparently increases the risk of Preeclampsia so i’m not sure if i can take anything else while taking aspirin but i can ask, im having extra midwife appts and growth scans monthly to keep an eye on everything as also at risk of baby may needing to come earlier than August. so was going to try and change my diet of foods to just help my blood pressure!

I am at risk of it as my blood pressure is 145/92 at 24 weeks, but no protein in urine I don’t think there is anything that can be done to prevent it it is just unfortunately one of those things you can get! My midwife is just monitoring it x
