I've got mine next week so I can let you know! Midwives have said there are now family bays where partners can stay though, so I'm hopeful x
@Jess I have mine tomorrow! If you want, I can let you know as well 🫶🏾
Oooh good luck! I have pre-op Monday 🥰
Following! Got my c section on 6th May at the JR and keen to know if my partner will be able to stay x
Hey ladies, had my elective c section and grateful for the safe arrival of my little one! Sadly wasn’t allowed to have my partner with me 😔 would have really helped to have someone on the first day at least but no partners are allowed in the rooms with bays, 8am-8pm visiting hours on level 5 (max 2 visitors) but in the observation area, partners are allowed to stay until 10pm But if you get a family room, you are allowed your partner (note only partner and not like a sister or a friend who is your birthing partner…) Honestly I think it just depends on the situation and if they have space and ward manager discretion so although I couldn’t have my birthing partner stay with me, try your best to still ask for it! Hoping for the safe arrival of your babies, good luck!!
Mine has been brought forward to this Sunday eek!
Hey! I had my first by elective c section in August last year and sadly my husband was not allowed to stay. I’d be surprised if they had changed this since then but I can’t vouch for that. My baby was born at 17.45 so by the time we were in recovery it was about 18.45. They let him stay until 10pm that evening but then had to leave. The next evening he was asked to leave by 8pm. Hope that helps. Good luck xx
