Induction hell

I got admitted for induction Friday night, open ward, had the rods but long story short they opened me to 1.5cm by sat eve then I had to wait for bed on delivery suite to pop my waters, 24 hours later still waiting so they did a sweep which they found I had closed up again pretty much. By this point I still hadn't really slept the whole time I been in hospital and they wanted to give me the pessary for 24 hours, then I would start the wait AGAIN for delivery suite. I said I'm done and asked for section, that's hopefully today but been told they really busy. So could be tomorrow, still haven't really slept. Im starting to feel insane. I feel like I want to just get out of this effing hotel bed and walk out the hospital. I know my mh is dipping. To make it worse I'm in the post natal ward surrounded by babies and excited family members meeting them.

Awww hun that sounds horrible and very frustrating, especially when you can't sleep. Hopefully, they can give you a c'sectionand then you can meet your baby! Do you know what gender you are having?

No we haven't found out so excited about that. It's just a lot isn't it!

Yes, I was induced with the balloon, water broke, and then tried pushing and had to have an emergency c section. It's a more positive experience to have a planned c-section. Hopefully, it works out well!

Are you in the UK? I had this bullshit too, every woman on the ward was taken down before me plus a few even though I was supposedly high risk. My partner came on Wednesday morning and I had my bags packed, told him I'm going home or they're taking me down now. If I'm not a priority then I don't need to be sitting in this hospital bed, not sleeping, on my own away from my kids. If I am a priority I don't need to be sitting in this bed waiting while everyone else goes ahead? Same end result. Surprise surprise when I walked into reception and said I'm going home they had a delivery suite available in 20 minutes, and when we walked in it had just been cleaned because I quote "this rooms not been used in a while". I was NOT impressed but the midwife who was with me for my delivery was incredible and made it such a positive experience.

Yes UK! I'm literally getting to that point where I will walk out, I think they have until about 5pm and I will do that, and the end of the day I'm not in prison am I? Nice to hear you had a good end result xxxx

I was induced and ended up with a c section 41 hrs later. It's rough.

She's finally here now...it's so scary though trusting it all to the NHS, the staff are incredible they really are, there just isn't enough of them. I would love to be a midwife I think they are amazing x
