Does anyone else’s baby make them work really hard for a smile!? She does smile but they don’t come easy at all! I’m wondering if this means she isn’t going to be very smiley when she’s older?

I think it’s just how babies are some are really smiley from the get go and some grow into it. Just make sure you keep talking to her while smiling yourself, making funny noises, singing funny songs and when she does smile praise her for doing so x

My first little girl didn’t smile till she was 9 weeks old hers where massive grins from then on my second started smiling at 6 weeks we had to work for it to start with now at nearly 7 weeks there getting a lot more frequent and aren’t having to work for them as much.

My son only used to smile before he sicked up all his milk, it was a real kick in the teeth.
End of week 9 though and he’s smiling for real now, thank god!

I nearly cried to my partner last night saying I feel like she's giving everyone but me smiles now! Think it just depends, as today I've had lots of smiles off her where as some I really have to work for them!

My boy is 7 weeks and he is smiling only when I am giving him my bubby.. and sometimes in the morning when he wakes up and I play with him!
