I thought I was totally at peace with my decision to attend a midwife led unit, with birthing pool and limited medical intervention. Until at 25 weeks, and my bump has just popped…. The reality of it all has hit me like a tonne of bricks 😅
I think I need to do a hypnobirthing course. Or listen to some guided meditations / podcasts for free. (We’re moving house soon - hence the need to be free/ budget friendly!)
I’m going to call a contraction a contraction. And no, I’m not going to open up my body like a rose - so looking for any practical hypnobirthing / meditation recommendations or tips please. I think I need to start practicing to put my mind at ease 😅 I’ve heard mixed reviews of The Positive Birth Company and find others also quite expensive!

The Baby Academy do a free hypnobirthing class! My sister did it last week and said it was really good, I’m booked on for a couple of weeks time! 😊

You could follow PopthatMumma on instagram she does a Hypnobirthing course and is a doula and has two children herself so is very pragmatic with it all. You can also pay for her stuff to download but a lot of her content is really useful

Try these ladies, I did the free 45 min intro and then bought their course, I’m working my way through it. They are fun, sweary and down to earth.

I love thenakeddoula on Instagram. Followed her when I was pregnant with my first and it made a massive difference 😊

Do you have Spotify? I've been listening to Siobhan Miller. Her audio book on hypnobirthing has made me feel quite empowered and excited to give birth 💕

ah I did their breastfeeding class the other week too and it was good! I’ll give it a go

I downloaded it last night and started listening this morning!

I did it on Saturday and agree it was so good and helpful! We’ve got the baby safety class this Saturday too! So good that they’re free! 😊

I’m currently doing the positive birthing company one 🥰♥️

The birth uprising on Instagram is a good one! They have lots of tips on their page but they also have a video on YouTube that I watched the night before my first baby and some of the tips really helped me and I ahead since passed on to friends!
