My 10 week old doesn't show much interest in tummy time. I think she has a fairly strong neck but she doesn't lift it. Most of the time she cracks a tantrum or falls asleep... what else can I do?

Both my daughters hated tummy time but had good neck strength. I'd lay them on my belly which would get the neck muscles stronger by looking up at me and around.

Baby wearing also strengthens the neck

my little one hated tummy time until someone suggested this. i’ve drawn a diagram as it’s easier to do than try to describe 😂

i recommend tummy time on you. my baby hates tummy time but you put her on your chest and stomach and interact with her. she will gain that strength quickly. i did it with mine and shes trying to sit up at 2 months going on 3.

I don’t do tummy time with my 3month old either but then just laying on there stomach against ur chest counts as tummy time my daughter loves it and she lays on her front on a breastfeeding pillow otherwise she doesn’t do tummy time at all she sleeps on her front

My daughter didn’t like tummy time on the floor for the first couple of months, maybe because she felt so far away/ lonely if I wasn’t laying right next to her. Wearing her in a carrier and contact naps were helpful alternatives. And she did a lot of tummy time on my husband’s chest when he’d come home from work while they could have face to face interactions. One of our favorite ways to do tummy time was by propping my daughter up on a pillow on our bed to watch me fold laundry. I could toss socks and cloths to her to keep her entertained and I think she liked the softness of the bed/ pillow on her belly. For reading books each night, she liked being propped up on my thigh while I had the book next to me on the couch. She also liked doing tummy time outside where she could play with grass, I’d find flowers and bugs to show her. Our Boppy pillow was very useful.
