Does this look concerning?

A family member drank from my son’s straw and I am now concerned that he may have gotten something. I sent the pictures to his doctor but wanted anyone else’s opinion on this matter who has been through this? Should I wait for his doctor to eventually answer or take him to doctors now?

We’re his lips like that prior and when did they use the straw?
not that I noticed, dad thinks his lips just might be dry
I wouldn’t take him to the ER but keep an eye and make an appointment with Pediatrician.. I had similar situation and the told me to watch for up to 4 weeks if you’re worried about cold sores and if any they can test if something shows up…
You can probably call the triage nurse tomorrow for medical advice but unless has a fever or something crazy probably not ER necessary

If it’s just giving you major anxiety go get him tested so you feel better.
I don't see anything concerning but a trip to the doctor to even just ease your mind might be worth it.
