Ok girl moms with babies in the 90th+ percentile for height what brand clothes are you buying y'all's babies? Because everything I get is perfect in length, but is way too baggy.

We're 99th for height but 96th for weight so nothing is super baggy for us. I do find that ribbed shirts tend to seem less baggy. And we do a lot of leggings for pants. They stretch even if they turn into capris. I'm a huge fan of bamboo pajamas and clothes since the stretch so much.

our girl is in between 95th to 99th her doc said today, but she is 30% for weight at 19lbs which makes sense because me and her dad are pretty skinny. I heard a lot about bamboo pajamas! She's just outgrowing 12 month pajamas in height so it's so hard.... man I can't even find pants for my 6'4 husband 🤣 have you ever tried the pajamas from target with the little cloud on the label?

Avatar

@Kamryn🇲🇽 if its the cloud island ones, we have. She grows out of them so fast. I've bought some pairs of bamboo ones when they go on sale. I also stay away from anything with closed feet now. Carters clothes seem to fit her the longest. Especially their onsies. Cheap clothes I always have to size up and they definitely don't fit for as long.

we have to opposite problem with Carter's. She seems to outgrow them first. 😢 do the bamboo ones grow with them kind of?

Burt’s bees is good for tall and skinny

My baby is in the 70th percentile but he is 12- 18 month clothes. The gerber baby footed pajamas are so long on him. Wondering if they would fit yours perfectly. We got them on Amazon. I found the girl version for you https://a.co/d/cH2wQ8f

@Kamryn🇲🇽 i should say not carters for pajamas. But their onsies seem to fit for longer for us. Bamboo definitely last so long. She's still wearing 6-12 months ones that she's been wearing since September and they'll fit her for a while longer. My 3 year old is in 5t and her 3t ones still fit great. I hate the price but if you find them on sale they're so worth it, especially for kids who grow faster.

I'll look it to it!

do they stretch a good amount? I noticed with like the cotton ones they shrink when we wash them.

Avatar

@Kamryn🇲🇽 they stretch A LOT. I haven't noticed them shrinking at all. I have some 2t ones my toddler wore for over a year and they're still good enough that my baby will probably get just as much wear from them.

I'll definitely have to look for some!

we’ve washed multiple times with no shrinkage. I also don’t put the babies stuff on high heat to dry.
