Possible CMPI/ CMPA

My 4mo is currently taking omeprazole for reflux (has been for two months) but can’t help but think some of his symptoms could actually be CMPA mostly due to his soiled nappies (regularly have green and mucusy nappies) and his trouble sleeping! He also gets small dry red patches on his legs, his face goes blotchy during feeds, he was very congested for months (finally seems to be getting better though fingers crossed) he also spits up and gets hiccups after his feeds. He’s EBF. Do these things all sound quite normal for breastfed baby? I formula fed my first so this is all new to me!

Hey, I suspected the same thing with my son as he was also pooing green runny poo so took him to the Gp and was told to give them a poo sample so I would advise you do the same 😊

@A. Really, that’s good to know thank you! I mentioned all the things in my post to my little ones Dr at a check up about the Omeprazole and the Dr just shrugged it off, no help at all!

@A. Does your son have CMPA/CMPI? X

Yeah it looks like it. My first had CMPA and poo was like that. Try having no dairy for 2-3 weeks (I know it’s tough!) and see if there’s improvements. My 4 month old has GERD (reflux) and I haven’t been brave enough to attempt dairy since she was 6 weeks old out of pure fear it will get worse 😆 xx

@Heather thank you so much!
