As someone who bought no tiny baby clothes first time round and had a baby spend her first two days in an nhs towel and massive sleepsuits. This time I’m just buying, 10 sleepsuits and vests in each size tiny, newborn and up to 1 month. Then a couple of cardigans. They don’t need outfits and the best way to do it is to do a wash load a day. Honestly what you need most is a drawer of muslin cloths! I live in a two bed flat with not much space and I’ve learnt that less is best
Also take a look at vinted. You can get such nice things for such great value. Newborns only ever wear their clothes once or twice, so most things have a lot of wear still in them
I wouldn't bother getting too much newborn size stuff until you see how big the baby is. We got about 6 newborn vests and 6 newborn sleep suits and got about double that of 0-3 months size. My son was small enough to fit into newborn when he was born so we bought another 6 of each and he moved up to 0-3 after a few weeks. I know others though that didn't end up using newborn stuff at all. It's also all a bit unpredictable and depends on things like how often you can get a wash on and how much they spit up (my son didn't much at all but my niece did loads so my brother ended up buying way more). We bought quite a bit through vinted to keep the price down too, you can search things like 0-3 months bundle and you can get a lot for pretty cheap.
