People who’ve already had their babies, how much did they weigh and did they fit newborn clothing? Most of the newborn things I have are for up to 7.5lbs but following a growth scan my baby is predicted to be about 8.5lbs by 40 weeks. I haven’t bought much but I don’t want to not get use out of what we do have!

I went straight to 0-3 months. My babies were 8lbs 9oz and 9lbs 5oz.

Mine was born 7lb 15oz and went straight into ‘up to 1 month’. She stayed in that size for about a month, the 0-3 was huge on her.

Our son was 7lb 9oz and was in first size (up to 7lb 8oz) until around 14 days. Some of our newborn/up to one month items go up to 10lbs and these still fit him (he’s 17 days old). Our son probably would’ve fit in the first size stuff for longer but his feet outgrew them before his body (this was the case with my daughter too).

6lb 14 9 days old and still drowning in newborn/first size. I really should get her some tiny baby bits but I keep thinking she will grow out of it too quick

I think it all depends on length, and with and shape etc. I’m taking newborn sleep suits, up to one month, and a couple of 0-3 to the hospital just in case. And two different size coming home outfits x

6lb 5oz and she is still in newborn/first size at 5 weeks old x

My son was 8lb2 and fit in newborn for a week or so we just got one pack of sleepsuits, then 1 month, remember babies usually drop a bit of weight in the first week. Good to get a range of the sizes

7lb 9oz and was in newborn clothing for around 2 weeks

My boy was born 7.7lbs so we went straight to up to 1 month clothes. At 3 weeks, we had to move to 0-3 months and at 7 weeks, he is already in 3-6 months at 11lbs.

My girl was 6lb 7oz at birth. We literally used newborn size for like a week. I’d say the ones up to one month we used for a couple of weeks before moving to 0-3. It also depends on where the clothes are from as I find George (Asda) and Primark running quite small compared to other brands.

It’s hard to gauge, my first was 9lb 1oz and went into up to 1 month for a couple of weeks but my second was 8lb 11oz and in 0-3 as she was too long, so it’s a tough one!

My baby was 8lb7oz at birth and she’s been wearing the newborn clothes but now at 3 weeks they are getting tight

6lb 1oz and in tiny baby and newborn until around 3mo.

Mine was 7lb 8, she fit in newborn all of about a week, then moved into 0-3.

Mine was 7lb 2. Dropped to 6lb 8 and was in newborn for 2 months. He’s 4 months now and still in 0-3m

My baby was 8lb2 when she was 2 weeks old and only fit in some ‘newborn’ size for the next week and it was pretty tight and short on her (she’s now 9lb at 3 weeks old) the difficulty is every brands sizes come up slightly differently.. maybe get mostly 0-3 month to get most wear out if it.

i absolutely wouldn’t bother, my little man was 6lb 10oz and he has been in newborn from the start. he’s now three weeks and now newborn is too small for him and even now 1 month is getting to be a tight squeeze 😅 they grow too quick so would be relatively pointless buying tiny baby clothes ☺️

My little boy was 9lbs 2oz and wore newborn size for 6 weeks before he was big enough for 0-3. They were huge on him before then

7lb 1 and in newborn for about 2 weeks, then up to a month for about 4 weeks before she fit 0-3

Arya was 7 pound 9 and was in first size for around 5 weeks, longer for vests. But she was quite a short baby

6lb6 @ 38+5w - she fit in newborn for about 2 weeks x
