It works if you BOTH put the effort in just not one person so keep that in mind if you do decide to go to couples counseling. Me and my husband went through it and it helped us. We've been together 6 yrs and have 3 kids 🫶🏻 good luck

My husband and I were in marriage counseling every two weeks for 3.5 years. I finally realized nothing would ever change. Fast forward and now I’m coming out of the fog of his emotional abuse and realize that he is a malignant narcissist and counseling would never, could never help someone like that. I was hanging on and using the counseling as a way to hang on, like oh we are trying. It was a lie I told myself to survive. Like Kara said: BOTH parties have to be active participants and accountable for their actions. You do what you feel is right! I Wanted to provide my experience. @Katie thanks for your feedback! Yes im not even sure if he would go for it. Obviously would have to wait and see! We've never really had good communication when things got bad between us couldn't talk only text which is obviously not good! Think I need to try for my sons sake xx

@Katie I feel like he has been emotionally abusive but doesn't even realise it just thinks its normal to be nasty to the person you are splitting with 😔 alot of his behaviour and ways of thinking needs talking about. Let's see if he will do it!
