I was hoping to have an 18 month gap between my 2 (had a miscarriage so ended up being 23 months) as i thought best to get the baby stage over together and they will be really close because they are so close in age. I think that is the case but it's also super hard work having 2 under 2 or even 2 under 2 1/2. If you leave it so there is more like a 3 year gap then your first child will be a lot more independent, potty trained, communicating well, less tantrums.
Depends what gap you want. We’re aiming to fall pregnancy towards the end of this year so will have a newborn just before or after my son turns 2 year old but this for us is due to medical reasons that we want to / need to plan our children close together to get it all over with it ! My mum and aunt are 11 months apart 😳
I have a 2.5 year gap between my boys. It’s getting easier but I found it really hard as my older one wanted all of the attention
I have 19 months between my boys and it’s so hard at times but it’s the most rewarding thing! So glad I chose this age gap x
Not sure if it’s just the gap- I have 3 year old and 7month old. I think the jump from 1 child to 2 has been the hardest. The adjusting and attending to both their needs etc. but I love their interactions. I’m happy with the gap between them but could have been closer. Regardless, it’s a bit of work.
My friend has 2 with such an age gap, around 1.5 years and it has been really difficult but she has her mums support. Anything is doable if you really want to, I personally will be waiting to have 3-4 years age gap. I dont have any family in the UK though, just my husbands but there isnt any support from them.
