Does anyone else feel like their mom in law tries to take the mother role of your baby?

@Jess my ex and I are broken up but I believe she’s doing things to help my baby’s dad get full custody knowing he’s just gonna leave my baby w her all the time
In my personal experience the family always helps the family member even if that means they need to lie through their teeth. My ex was abusive, is a crack addict and currently in jail. His sister (saw the abuse on multiple occasions and wouldn't even let him around her own children and she is with his childhood best friend) and both his parents were completely MIA his parents haven't even met our 7 and 6 year old.. When it came time for court all of those mentioned people all banded together like they were an actual family and made it look like I was keeping them away and were trying to help him get 50/50. Family members can know damn well their loved one has no business being around children for the children's sake. I would be very cautious and please have a legal agreement so you know your child will be returned back to you.
@Jess honestly I really don’t think he wants her, majority of it I feel like he threatens or tells me things to hurt me because there’s been times he tries to get back together w me during ft calls to show him our baby and he’s hung up on her bc I don’t flirt back w him or ignore it Also just recently he set a restraining order on me that I was not aware of and he was coming down to “see me and her” but tbh my family and I believe he was coming down to take her because the following Monday I got served which is crazy He never made it down here bc my family told him not to come and he wasn’t welcomed, he crashed out He could’ve gotten a hotel He just wasn’t allowed to stay the night at my moms because he has bad anger issues
@Jess anyways he was coming from az right and if he came down and took her there would’ve been nothing I could do because the restraining order would be on me
My own mother did that so I'm sure mother in laws 100% do it as well and as a mother it's extremely frustrating!
