4:30am wake ups - help!

My LO just turned 9 months but was born at 36 weeks so is 8 months corrected. He has been waking up earlier and earlier in the last 2 weeks. We are now at 4:30am and he refuses to go back to sleep no matter what I do to try and help him! He’s generally on 2 naps a day but we’ve had to move back to 3 naps lately because of his early wake up. His bedtime is around 7pm. How do I get him to sleep in later?!

Gently stretch wake time through the day, start small, 5-10-15 mins. Consider if anything external could be waking him, light creeping in, wet nappy, hunger, birds at dawn (not that there's much you could do about that). Maybe white noise would help cover that. Is he building enough sleep pressure in the later half of the day. Could you tweak his naps. I mean I'm no expert but mine did this the last few weeks and now he's back waking at 6. Just trial and error but as far as I'm aware the more day sleep they have it will impact night, so I averaged what my baby did in a 24 hour period and worked out his allocated day time sleep from there. Hope you get it sorted xxx

I had this and I stretched each wake time a little so I could keep him up longer between naps. I also bought a black out blind and he's started sleeping longer - it was too light in the room

Oh and we use pull ups and size up for night time so it soaks more up and he's less disturbed x
