Feeling alone

Does anyone else feel alone during this pregnancy even though you have an actively involved partner. There’s just some things they don’t understand and it makes you feel so alone. How are you dealing with this feelings because it’s driving me insane?

I ended up cutting him off

Peripartum depression?

@Sarah I tried but I fear my son won’t have that two parent house hold and I just don’t know what to do

Same, I'm hit with loneliness beyond anything since my pregnancy started even my partner does most of the work. It's just not like before anymore to me at least. 😔😔

@Janis I’m not sure, I just wish it didn’t feel like this.

@Jada I would talk to your OB and ask for a PHQ-9 and Gad-7 scoring. It often gets overlooked because everyone just expects it at postpartum but they forget it can happen in early pregnancy too. For me, it’s been pretty severe. I break down and cry almost everyday for no reason. Just all of a sudden I’m filled with overwhelming sadness and a feeling of purposeless (and this is completely atypical for me) did not start until pregnancy.

@Mila As I suggested to Jada, these could be beginning symptoms of depression and it doesn’t just start postpartum. It absolutely can start in pregnancy. Talk to your provider. They often have therapists as part of coverage for prenatal care.

Yes I’ve had this during pregnancy, I spoke to my midwife and now I’m seeing a lotus midwife team who are more specialised in mental health during pregnancy and give you extra time during midwife appointments to talk about how you feel and give options of support. I would really recommend speaking about how you feel to get the right support xx

I don’t know how to deal with it myself

@Emma thank you ❤️
