Holiday tips

Hiya, we will be going on holiday to Spain at end of June and I’m clueless! We’re booking a place with aircon and will rent a car with car seat. Any tips at all on travelling with 5 month old? EBF. Xx

We did it last month with a 5month old and honestly was absaloutly fine, especially if you are breastfeeding as that was half the effort for us, sorting and making bottles whilst travelling or out. Get some sleep sacks to suit the temperature, but if you have air-conditioning, it might not matter. Extra Large muslins work great for lots of stuff. Get a snooze shade for your pram for naps on the go. Parasol (bit easy to buy there), pram fan, hats, etc. all help. We got a travel pram for ease of travel and it worked wondered, now baiscally our main pram. New toys for the plane so they are distracted (spinners are good) and feed on take off and landing so they don't get popped ears. And just enjoy!

Thank you so much!

@Robyn I am looking into prams. It’s so confusing. Which one did you get?

Can you take your own car seat? I wouldn’t trust a Spanish hire car place with a suitable seat for such a small baby. We take our car seat and clip it on to our yoyo with adaptors for ease. It’s the easiest time to travel you will have such a good time! I would be careful of the air con - take various tog sleep suits so you can play around with the temp. The plane toilet is tiny so take a little clutch with changing essentials so you don’t have to take your entire change bag

@Sarah it was from smythes about 100 quid, folds down dead easy. If there's one near you just go in and test drive some!

@Robyn thank you. I will check it out.
