No advice! Just wanted to say I’m here with you, I’ve just started 7 months PP after emergency C section (and a very slow recovery)! Still not fully recovered and god the gym is brutal 🫠 All I will say is take it easy & don’t be hard on yourself. I’m struggling with how little I can do compared to pre pregnancy but trying to keep reminding myself I’m still healing and I will get there 🤞
I've been training at home on and off since 3month PP. Haven't been able to venture to the gym just yet as my baby is exclusively breastfed... so also looking for any tips for when I go back hopefully in June. At home i've mainly focused on core exercises using weights; overhead marches, laying down toe taps etc and a little strength training. I don't want my breastmilk to dip by going on a calorie deficit as i've noticed the changes if my eating has been bad (less) on a day.
@Susi3 you are doing everything right so far, keeping it gradual and building it up!
Breastfeeding can naturally be a deficit for you, so the best way is to work out what you currently eat, and then reduce it slightly by 200-300 and then see how that works. Moving more is the safer way to be in a deficit when breastfeeding. Exercise wise start with gentle movement that focus on strength and rebuilding your core. I’m a PT so if you have any questions, feel free to message!
