Reflux

My 3 month old’s reflux appears to be getting worse. He is exclusively breastfed. It was manageable before but now he’s vomiting a lot and quite forcefully, appears uncomfortable/in pain after feeds and arches his back a lot. I burp him after every feed but when he’s uncomfortable it’s now taking a lot longer to soothe him. He also now really struggles to sleep at night in his crib and wakes up every hour (if not sooner) uncomfortable and arching his back. As soon as I pick him up and put him on me upright he settles. This means I’ve hardly been getting any sleep and I’m anxious about potentially falling asleep in bed while holding him which obviously wouldn’t be safe. I’m thinking of booking a GP appointment as per advice on nhs website but wondering if anyone else has any experience of this and can share what they did and what worked for their baby?

I have been having similar issue with my 4 month gp gave gaviscon didnt work now omeprazole that hasnt worked either any advise?

Has baby been checked for a tongue tie? A couple of my friends experienced this, and if there is any form of tongue tie, baby is likely gulping and taking too much air in when feeding. Also, some Moses baskets and next to me cribs can be tilted to help with reflux when they’re lying down. Hope this helps

I used infacol before my babies every feed, tilted the next to me so not laying completely flat and burped for at least 20 mins but very gently little pats worked better than firmer ones for mine. Baby massage can help too. Give them a go if they offer some relief great but I’d suggest a GP visit regardless for medical check though, always trust your instincts when somethings not right.
