If you are in the UK they will always aim for full term because of the risks associated with preterm birth😭 I had to fight so much to have mine at 36 because they were trying to get me to 37 but baby’s health was fluctuating and it was making me worry so much I was mentally breaking down.
@Lily I’m in uk yeah, I want to try get to full term but it’s that wait until 39 weeks that I really don’t think I can do, I struggled so much with my daughter at that stage I couldn’t walk with her and he’s bigger and honestly I feel like he’s going to be about 12 lbs😂 waiting on my growth scan this week to see how big he is fully just now xx
I don’t think they will allow unfortunately but there’s no harm in asking! I had twins at 36.5 as planned and they weighed a total of 12lbs! I was a potato for about 6 weeks 🤣
Yeah I can imagine. Maybe when you go for your scan speak to them and see if they can offer any other aids for relief. I used a support belt and found it helpful. My midwife also offered acupuncture but didn’t end up trying that. Goshh it’s such a process 😅 x
I was in your exact position. Planned section due to a massive baby 10lb15 mine was. Like yours my partner had to put my socks on help me out the bath etc it was blooming agony! I was scheduled for 39 weeks. But I got weekly growth scans on the lead and in the end I had mine at 37+5 because he was so big. The growth scans didn’t even show anything because there was just no space to see 😂. If you get these I doubt you’ll go to 39 weeks. Especially with complications in first baby xx
@Lily I have the support belt too, honestly have tried everything all the exercises pain killers, have pregnancy pillow just nothing is helping, terrified I’m not even going to be able to get out my bed in a few weeks 😩
@Rachel they got my daughters weight so wrong, she was born on her due date and was estimated 7lbs 6 and was born 9lbs 9 😂 worried they won’t take me seriously like last time when I said she was massive they didn’t believe me because of the scans, I hope they take him out a few weeks early xx
And when i say im sore i mean im on crutches and my poor partner needs to basically lift me in and out the bath, and wakes up through the night to help me turn over or help out the bed, I cant physically bath my 18 month old cant stand for longer than 10 minutes before I need to sit because im actually shaking in pain😩 I have seen physio also but there’s only so much they can do x
