I had mine there a month ago. Honestly amazing experience with the birth centre. They have big rooms with pools. I phoned triage they booked me in so went straight to a private room with 2 midwives and had a water birth. Stayed overnight one night with double bed with husband and great care.
Had my baby girl in November gone, it was a chaotic pregnancy medical wise lol but the tem were absolutely fabulous Baby girl was in NICU for a month + I couldn't have been more supported or encouraged by the staff. Absolutely gorgeous NICU & Maternity team Was initially worried due to the hospitals notorious previous reputation, I couldn't have been more wrong x
Planning to give birth there too🥺
What was really great as well was whilst I was admitted and had a private room (due to certain factors) my husband was able to spend the nights with me and help out. They were very accommodating to my family visitors too Wishing you all the best ❤️x
The place has had its struggles in the past; there are several articles online you can read. If you do choose to proceed with Northwick Park, I’d recommend you be highly involved in the decision making process on practically everything! Also don’t hesitate to ask to be seen by a doctor EARLY during labour if you have any concerns, or don’t feel comfortable with the care you are receiving. Lots of people I’ve spoken to in the area, including myself, have chosen Queen Charlotte’s and Chelsea; it’s a bit of a trek but it’s brilliant

My experience was really good. I had planned c section. Was given my own private room after my baby arrived. Was kept in 2 nights with baby to ensure I was back on my feet properly. However, only down fal is I had sepsis 5days after I got home and was away from my new born for a whole week which was heart breaking. But I don't want to blame the maternity department for the sepsis infection it could have been anything that triggered it but my medical care side was really good and I recovered well and quickly.
