He’s been walking since Christmas but now he’s trying to run, help! And he’s just discovered he can walk on his tip toes??? 😂

If bum shuffling was an option - that would me my LB🙈😂

My little boy only walks about 10 steps but then just crawls. He's been doing this for about 2 weeks. Should I try and encourage him to walk longer / how would i do this? Or do I just let him get more confident? X

He can walk independently, most he’s done is probably about 20ish steps, but crawling is still easier and faster so he’ll typically resort to crawling over walking if there’s any real distance involved or if he wants to be somewhere quickly!

@Becky we just let our little one walk at any possible times. Popped him down in shopping centres etc for a few steps and he just got a lot more confident. all happened pretty quickly after that. We also did practise at soft plays etc where it’s nice to fall over etc x

My daughter won’t even stand independently! She can do it, I’ve seen her - she just doesn’t. I think it’s just a confidence thing… she’s brilliant at standing with support, flat feet, can practically run with her wallet and cruises around furniture - surfaces well, she just won’t even try to walk independently!

Walking since January, now running, the errands that used to take 20 minutes now take 2 hours as he literally sprints off everywhere 🤷🏾‍♀️ enjoy the crawling until it lasts

I put walking independently but he’s still very unsteady! Getting there though.

@Lauren sounds exactly like my little boy. He can crawl so quickly now I think he’s lost interest in trying to walk 🙈
