Aptamil comfort milk

Looking for personal opinions on aptamil comfort formula. We’re using aptamil 1 currently and baby is showing signs of extreme discomfort when trying to pass wind/empty bowels. We were using infacol that was helping with wind but the discomfort was still an issue so we went to the GP who prescribed Colief and said we couldn’t use it alongside infacol. We’re not sure if the colief is really doing anything so have been looking into aptamil comfort formula but have seen mixed reviews I.e. it doing the opposite of what it’s meant to and making babies constipated when on the other hand other mums have said it’s been a game changer.

Does anyone have any experience with changing to this milk? How long did it take to see an improvement if there was one?

I used aptamil comfort after my baby was constipated. GP prescribed lactulose which worked really well but ofc didn’t want him reliant on it at such a small age (he was around 3-4 weeks old). For me the comfort worked really well, he wasn’t in any pain anymore. I used 2 boxes and then moved back to normal aptamil as his bowel movements became more regular and he wasn’t in any pain. Definitely try it and see if it works. Must note that infacol did absolutely nothing for my son so cud be that each baby reacts differently to it.

Also do tummy massages and bicycle legs. That also helped a lot too x

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Bath Time

Help! My baby is 3 and a half weeks old. Every bath she goes in quite happy but will only stay like this for a very few mins, if I try to clean her or move her we have tears and after a few mins the same. It's like she is scared. Our current baby bath is quite big should I try a different one? Looking for any suggestions as want her to enjoy bath time not be upset and I'm scared I'm going to make her hate it😢💗

Big nursing bras!

I’m looking for recommendations for good nursing bras for bigger breasted ladies!

I’m currently in a 38H which seems to be the biggest size done at M&S (UK based mama here) and it’s snug and not as supportive as I’d like. When I look online, they mainly seem to be sized S, M, L, XL etc rather than bra sizes.

Any recommendations please?

Crying during feeding

Hey mams! My girl is 6 weeks on Monday and is having so much trouble with feeding. It doesn’t happen every feed but more often than not she will start a bottle and just start crying as if she’s in pain and she can’t take the milk. I think it’s trapped wind but I genuinely don’t know what to do it’s so pitiful to see her not be able to feed! She’s formula fed and on HiPP Organic.
Anyone else been in this position? I’m pretty sure it’s just a bit of trapped wind that she needs to fart out but can’t! If anyone has any advice I’d be very grateful as I think I may need to tape my eyelids open soon 😂
