@Rose that’s a good idea! Sophie normally has porridge too so maybe I’ll make that with her formula and get it in that way x
We had to go to the doctor because Kassie has lactose intolerance so is on prescription milk but they seemed happy with what she is having. She also usually has a snack in nursery around 3pm which is usually finger food but she doesn't always eat it.
I have spoken to the health visitor this morning as my 8 month old does not want any milk in the morning, , then around 2x 5-6oz bottles then one bedtime bottle. She said aim for her to have 16-20oz a day with some cheese, yogurts and full fat cows milk included within her meals. 😊
I'm mainly breastfeeding, but have had to give 3 bottles a day due to weight (2x breastmilk and 1 fomula) one bottle has gone, her morning 5ozs she still has but is dropping the lunchtime bottle. She still has about 3-4 breastfeeds in the day and 1-3 overnight.
I think as long as you're following baby's lead when bottles are being either dropped completely or reduced that's fine. We followed Kassie's lead, she was on 5 6oz bottles and wouldn't take any more but then she dropped one to be on 4 bottles and then was only drinking 3oz on her 2 middle of day bottles with having food. So we went with what she wants, we give her a little bit of water with her meals
My 7 month old has 3 meals a day and she has a 6oz in the morning and before bed then 2 3oz bottles in the day. Her breakfast is either porridge or weetabix which is made with 3oz of her milk
