Weaning

Can someone please explain when weaning to babies still have the same amount of bottles? May sound stupid but I was told babies still need the same bottles due to nutritional values… however my baby now doesn’t want as many bottles as he’s eating( which makes sense …) … so I’m unsure of what a daily plan now looks like ?

How old is your baby, how often are they eating? It's natural for them to want less milk as they eat more, but that shouldn't happen straight away, but more of a gradual change as the amount of food they eat increases

I am curious myself

I read that they need to be having 500ml of milk while weaning in the short term, ideally they'd still have the same amount of bottles as before but some babies like food and so don't want their normal amount of milk, especially if offering sips of water too.

How old is little one? Between 8-10 months its natural for them to drop a bottle usually a morning or afternoon and then by 12 months generally babies will have water in the day, 1 night milk bottle, 3 meals and snacks throughout the day xx

@Zoe that’s good to know … he’s a chunk and on 240 mls 4 times a day currently ( 7 am , 11am , 3pm and bedtime bottle 7pm ) I’m weaning and trying to get in the routine of breakfast lunch and dinner so food inbetween those bottles ( 9am, 1pm & 5pm ) and he also has a sippy cup of water at those times

It’s important to know how old baby is?

It depends on the baby and their age. My daughter is 8 months and has just dropped one of the bottles to go from being on 4 to 3 a day which is quite normal for her age.
