Feeling judged

Anyone else feel judged when they ask for help or advice or even pass advice on from things you've experienced? Every time I post something on any group (more so the last 2 or 3 months) I feel like I'm getting more people attack me for how I parent or even live my life. This app was supposed to be an area for support navigating the trials and tribulations of motherhood but it's becoming a toxic place and now I don't know where to turn

I 100% agree and I’m sorry you feel so judged. This app has become a place where women try to invalidate others and make them look like terrible moms so they feel better about themselves and it says more about them than you momma. The fact that you’re asking for advice and looking for help shows you care and that’s amazing. I’m here if you ever need to talk without judgement Im going through the same thing but with my husbands family.🥲

@jayna my partners family were very judgey when our little girl was first born but we had a bad situation and he stood up for me so they backed off

Literally just happened to me this morning and I'm honestly ready to delete this app. I moved to a very desolate area across the country, I don't have any friends where I am, I'm a first time Mom so this app I thought would be extremely helpful… Feel like a lot of women on here are just trying to one up, and make me feel shitty for asking the questions that I do. I had a terrible experience this morning when asking a question about weight loss while exclusively pumping, one girl made me so upset. She just totally came at me, my child, and who i am as a mom ( complete stranger on here) when all I asked was if anyone had any insight of being on weight management while exclusively breast-feeding that I've been told different things from my coworkers and it really makes me feel horrible asking in the first place but i thought i could come in here and ask these things. I honestly get afraid to post on here, and I rarely do ...one time that I do it's horrendous. I'm over this app.

I agree also. Many people attacked without even thinking that you may be doing even better than them ! Old stupid school and ambitions! Don't take it personally! I am from Russia, the most judgmental country, I got an immune system for that, I just don't answer that.

@Nico I asked a question about nappy pants the other day and whether they are worth it. It turn into this whole judgemental protest on potty training 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️ I felt so judged for asking a basic question. I was answering a question earlier about babies eating sausages when they're ready. I'm a vegetarian so don't eat meat nor am I the best at prepping it. I said I cut it into circles and remove the skins so it's more like sausage mince. Everyone came at me for it and it felt like they were telling me I was trying to kill my baby

@Evgeniia Babadzhanova this made me giggle a bit thank you. There's this 1 specific mum that always tries to one up me. In the UK we call it "keeping up with the Joneses". It's the worst kinda approach for people just asking for help. Tbh this group is the only group that I don't feel judged on when it come to taking about my parenting life
