My littel girls is 18 months only says only mama Baba dada but Understands everything so nothing to worry I 🤔
My LO is 18 months next week and only really says a couple of words xx
Yeah same with my little girl, she still says ba ba ba, mamma and dada bur understands every single word I say. I’m not worried at all x
Only a few words for us too at the moment. He understands everything we say so I’m confident it will come, it might just be a little later than some, but that’s ok 💙 it’s really hard not to worry. My friend’s little boy’s speech didn’t come in until 21 months and there is no stopping him now
Same here, I’m certain my son understands everything I say but only has a few words. I’ve started naming a few things constantly throughout the day - cup, apple, ball etc and he’s starting to pick them up. X
I’m so glad you posted this as the comments have been comforting as I’ve been worrying too , my little one understands what I’m saying but no words , he babies mama baba dada but that’s it .. he’s gesturing , does actions to songs but I’m still worrying I’m glad it seems to be normal with so many of us commenting the same xx
My son also a Nov 2023 only says mama, papa, dada no other words I’ve been worried too. He’s a bilingual baby so he listens to Portuguese and English all day and I try to think that could be the reason why he doesn’t say any other others yet x
@Rafaela We are billingual too at home and she has English as a third language so you can imagine. I have been thinking why she has not picked aand said anymore than just babbles.I hope she will soon enough.
My little man is 18 months next week and only has a few words also, it’s hard not to worry but he babbles away loads alongside his few words and understands everything 🤍
My little girl understands alot of stuff and knows alot of animal noises but only says mum, dad, poo 🤣, hiya, boo , love. I also have a 3yr old and she wasnt speaking much at this age either but can now speak perfectly fine. She started speaking more the closer she got to 2 so dont worry 🥰
Exact same thing, the only thing my boy says is “oh no” when he drops something and that’s it! We keep trying to teach him words like even mummy or daddy but he’s too damn stubborn😂 he’s 18 months tomorrow. We got a speech therapist and they told us a couple tips like using bubbles and saying “pop” when they burst but still had no luck with that. But the speech therapist said she’s not worried, boys focus more on walking and actions rather than talking and some just take longer than others to talk xx
