If you had a threesome with your partner married or not how was the outcome?

Did the relationship get better? Did it fall apart? Was it just friends or did yall find someone, was it one time only?

It was a friend. Our best friend. It was the end of our friendship and relationship. The act itself was fun. Seemed like it could happen again one day. Then my ex friend and ex partner were talking to one another behind my back. Don’t do it with a best friend. Or set boundaries and make sure you stick to them before and after the fun.

Not married but we were together for more than 10 years before we allowed this to happen. So. You just never know.

Phew šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø okay so I’ve been in on/off polyamorous relationship with several thirds with my husband for 8-9 years. I can tell you that it can change things for you and your SO because expectations are different. For us, it become a type of relationship that’s missing something(it sucked so bad). I’ll tell yall one of them. For my husband & I, it was his ex gf in high school who eventually became my best friend after he introduced me to her. This girl (we will call her Andrea) was that third that we went on/off with for 8-9 years and it was brutal and it definitely change the relationship between my husband and I because there wasn’t anyone we know that we can relate to or seek advice from. But in the end, we realize the reason why it never works out with Andrea is because it wasn’t with the right person. My best advice to you if you want a successful one, don’t expect it to work out and don’t expect the relationship to go back to the way it was. It’s nice to explore but it’s NOT easy.

Now for the threesomes it was fun but it’s hard not to make it into a relationship if it’s someone you know. If you don’t want a polyamorous relationship, it’s best to set boundaries first and have the fun with someone yall dont really know (protected ofc) or someone who’s not interested in relationships overall.

I haven’t personally but I’ve contemplated it a lot. The one thing that finally put me off is not a lot of people that have shared their experience on this app and on other apps have had positive outcomes. Like others are saying, it definitely will change your relationship and I think you have to be fully confident, committed, and let go of any jealousy. It’s likely not going to work if one of you is a jealous person. I know there are some relationships that do work better that way, but there are so many that are in open relationships to begin with. That’s the experiences that’s been shared with me. Likely it’s easier for open relationships to begin with because it’s not that different, it’s not new. You have to have a certain level of trust and be willing to accept change. If I was to ever do it in future, I’d definitely not do it with a best friend because that can complicate things even deeper if things don’t work out

@Dionne yes. It’s all about a lot of trust and commitment. No jealousy between the couple otherwise it can get messy.

Threesomes are not for couples. They are for three single people!!!

@Elle I respectfully disagree, it’s for anyone.

@Cheska I’m sure the woman who started sobbing when I had a threesome with her and her boyfriend would disagree but ok.

@Cheska If you are polyamorous it can work, but it probably won’t work for a monogamous relationship.

@Elle Actually no my husband and I are monogamous and went into a polyamorous relationship on/off. Everyone’s experience is different, I’m in a few polyamorous groups and I’ve seen a lot of difference experiences from different couples. For you being the 3rd (often call the unicorn but I don’t like the term) for that couple was unsuccessful but doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be successful for others. I didn’t cry in my first threesome with my husband. It eventually became a relationship between us 3.

@Cheska I think the poster wants to remain monogamous after.

I have 0 experience with this, but thought I would share that 90 day FiancĆ© (the show) has their first ā€œthroupleā€ - Matt, Amani, and Any. Not sure how much of their relationship is for TV and how much is genuine, but may be of interest to watch and see how they have made it work. On the show Matt and Amani have been married for a while and found someone from another country. They vacation to go see her and eventually want to get her to move with them to the states. She’s dating both the husband and wife. Just a suggestion 😊
