Do I need to be responding?

My ex has been sending the same demands over and over again recently. Constantly asking to have our daughter overnight. This is something that, because of many safeguarding concerns, I won’t allow.
Do I need to be responding every time he does that? I normally try to respond in an amicable way but he always gets very verbally abusive whenever I do respond.
