Let it be over!

I had a miscarriage and was advised if I wanted to, “let nature take its course” so I did, I passed the baby and sack naturally, I took a pregnancy test after 4 weeks, it came back very positive, went in for a scan and they said confirmed pregnancy tissue remained so I was given 4 tablets to take at home, they said you can take them oraly or vaginally but I was advised place them vaginally, they kept falling out because I was bleeding and now i don’t feel like it’s worked, they said to wait 2 weeks take another pregnancy test then if it hasn’t worked il have to have a medical procedure. Has anyone had this? Why is this carrying on, I just want it to be over! Why isn’t any method working?!

My missed miscarriage at 11 weeks took a long time to pass too. I had to get the tablets that you take orally under your tongue. They worked to shift the rest x

I've had 3 miscarriages and everytime I choose the D&C (surgical procedure) Because I wanted it to be over. It was a quick recovery for me like 1 day taking it easy and I was back to normal stuff work ect.

@Tiffany I agree with you. After how long it took for me naturally / with pills I’d definitely be opting for D&C if it ever happened again x

I was advised that they don’t recommend the suction/surgical option anymore NICE guidelines say it can increase your risk of future miscarriage as there is risk it can cause damage. I wanted to do it naturally but now I’ve had to had the tablets which I’m sure carry some side effects or risk and I might have to have the procedure anyway! I’m so frustrated with my body!

There are oral pills! That’s what I have taken. And it’s not as awful if you’ve already passed most of the tissue. It can be a lot of cramping and pain if you take them before anything has passed, but you should be okay. Maybe call and ask your doctor for the oral pills?

Oh wait, I re-read that… maybe call and get another dose? I can’t imagine trying to use a vagibal suppository during a miscarriage. Ugh. So sorry mama. 😩
