Canesten
I was prescribed canesten duo back in January by the doctor.
I’m on my second week of antibiotics and have thrush again! Can I just buy it over the counter from boots or something? Or do I have to speak again with a doctor like the pharmacist says? 🤦🏼♀️.

I just go and get it myself, that’s all the doctors tell you to do. You can even order off Amazon. As long as it is the pessary version you’re fine.
@Ellie thank you! I’ve been at the doctors every week since January for various things 🤦🏼♀️. So I don’t reaaallly want to go again! 😂. I feel like I’m just pestering people now haha xx

I had thrush once a month every month of my pregnancy until last month when i started taking probiotics and honestly i cant recommend this enough! Doctor’s wouldn’t help me so midwife recommended taking them to help
@Kara thank you! I keep getting prescribed antibiotics for UTI’s.. which is then causing it… it’s so frustrating!! X

I've had thrush a few times since I've been pregnant, and I just self diagnosed and didn't go to the Dr's as I'm prone to thrush even when not pregnant! The only thing is you have to pay 15 quid odd for the canesten things at boots, but if you speak to your doctor and get a prescription, you'll obviously get it free! X
