PCOS & Preeclampsia 🤰🏼

Hello, 👋🏼 I am currently 16 weeks pregnant, and at my midwife appointment yesterday I was advised to start on low-dose aspirin due to there being a link between PCOS & developing Pre-eclampsia. Has anyone else been told this before? I’m not sure what to do. I have a healthy BMI and healthy blood pressure, and no other symptoms of preeclampsia that I know of other than the odd headache. Thanks, ❤️

Yes I did.. I took it my whole pregnancy until I was cleared to be done with it

I have pcos and had aspirin from 12-36 weeks, I did ask my midwife about it and it can only give benefits to you and baby to worth taking, a lot of pcos women take it when trying to conceive too :)

I have pcos and was diagnosed with chronic high blood pressure around your current week. I did end up developing preeclampsia despite being on aspirin and labetalol the entire time unfortunately. My symptoms were -Severe Swelling -Headache -Blurred vision -Very high blood pressure at the time of the emergency. - weird itching at the time of emergency However our difference is my bmi is a bit higher than normal and my blood pressure did start climbing and i FELT it whenever i missed my labetalol pill

Also another symptom i forgot to mention was chest and upper abdominal pain.
