Anyone else slightly worried their baby isn’t crawling yet? My LO is 9 months old (1 month prem so 8 months adjusted) and does pretty well with floor time but still doesn’t crawl. She’s been doing 360 tummy turns and reaching out so hoping it’ll be any day now. Trying not to hyper focus on it but bit hard when other mum friends with younger babies are already crawling. I know, I know, “Kim there are people dying” but just my first world probs atm 😅

Learn more about our guidelines.I was really stressed out, too. We had her in PT and she hated it. I only took her 2 times because she freaked out. My daughter crawled at 13 months and then basically started walking.
She is now 2 and extremely advanced - she speaks in sentences and is very coordinated.
Easier said than done because I overthought it going through it, but I have confidence children crawl on their own time or skip it altogether.
My daughter didn’t crawl or even attempt to till she was 11 months, the at 12 months she was walking. She was more vocal and saying more words than others her age instead.
It's normal for a 9 month old (8 adjusted) to not be crawling so I wouldn't worry yet at all 🙂 I've known babies that didn't until they were 11/12 months.
This is not late at all
my crawled at 9 months … and honestly enjoy this time when they start crawling everything’s changes
Crawling isn’t a milestone as not all babies do it. It is hard watching other 9 months old crawling around. Mine started army crawling at 13 months and at 14 months he’s become confident in cruising the sofa and hardly needs walking support.
Your baby will be mastering another skill over crawling. Mine had very good motor skills from the get go and has been a very chatty little person for a couple of months now 🥰
My little girl is now 4, but she didn’t crawl til her 1st birthday and didn’t walk until she was 19 months!! She was talking really well from a young age though so think she prioritised that 😂 perfectly normal 4 year old now running around so really wouldn’t worry 😊
My son is 5 years old. He never crawl. I wouldn't worry about it. My son was walking at 11 months, by his birthday, he was running
Same here. My baby girl is going to be 9 months next week, but no crawling yet. I get worried too when I see another baby. I hate it when some people compare it but I am slowly accepting.. she will do it on her own.
Mine showed zero interest, was just rolling around a lot then literally a week ago I turned round to see her crawling to the books!!! Looking like she'd done it a thousand times!! It'll come when they're ready.
Exactly the same . 9 months but 8 months adjusted and only just showing interest in moving around the floor. They'll do it in their own time. I'm just enjoying the fact I can still have half a brew before he disappears! Xx
My daughter crawled at 12.5 months and walked at 15 months. She was the last of her peers to crawl or walk, but since she started she's been unstoppable. I know it's easier said than done, but try not to worry too much about it. Every baby is different 😊
Mine didn’t crawl, she bum shuffled everywhere until she learnt to walk at 17 months (and then she started crawling too 🤣). Easier said than done but try not to worry about it, when my little one was bum shuffling in soft play etc I’d get comments from other parents saying that their kids did the same and didnt crawl either.
My son is 1 year and 3 weeks now. He just started crawling 2 weeks back. It is ok. It depends from kid to kid. In my son’s case he was 99% in height and weight. So the paediatrician just told us to wait. Everything else seemed ok.
You can seek help of paediatric physiotherapist only when the milestones are really off. Don’t worry about it yet. 😊
