Yes!!! The minute I pop him down eyes ping open 🤦🏼‍♀️

@Gemma exactly the same! I love them but at least one a day i’d like to be able to put her down for i guess as she gets older it’ll get easier🫣

Have you tried baby wearing ? At least you get your arms back while baby is napping

Yep! I have been judged for this but would much rather guarantee a decent nap than risk him waking after 10 seconds of being down.! 🤷🏼‍♀️

Yes!! She’s 16 weeks on Monday and won’t nap any other way. Won’t even nap on her dad. She’s a great independent sleeper at night, goes 11-7/8 in her next to me crib so don’t know why she won’t during the day 😅

@Katherine definitely!!!

@Donna Woods yes my daughter sleeps in hers at night too! Its so random isnt it🤣

Mine did until like 2 weeks ago, try putting them down awake when they show sleepy cues. Mine won’t go down asleep from me but will from awake now. It might take her 20 mins to fall asleep but for me it’s worth it. I give her a dummy and stay with her she falls asleep on her own now

@Donna Woods I read an article saying that often babies will either indecently nap day or night as doing both is too much time away from mummy 🫶🏻 my boy goes in his crib at night, currently not sleeping great, but will go down and stay asleep, daytime is a diff story altogether 😂

@Sarah does she cry? When I try with my baby he will be ok for like 5 mins then he’ll get grumpy and then he screams 😱 he’s sooo loud I can’t bear to let him scream like that, I’d be ok if it was a grizzle. Also point blank refuses a dummy 🤦🏼‍♀️

@Gemma no she doesn’t if I’m there and have white noise on too.

Thanks @Sarah think I just need to keep trying.

My baby is 16 weeks tomorrow (omg, where have those weeks gone 😭) but he will nap on me for 30 minute stints, in the car for similar length of time, in the baby carrier (takes at least 20 minutes of rocking and patting to get him down), and in the pram for a good couple of hours. It’s really hard but with my daughter she only really napped on me and that was until she was 6 months, then she started sleeping better in her pushchair, car, carrier etc. you’re not doing anything wrong! It’s a developmental thing, they’re used to being inside/with you so please don’t worry about it. Soak up those contact naps because one day, and you won’t know when, your little one will stop needing to sleep on you and your heart will break a little xxx

@Gemma it kinda just happened one day, she was a Velcro baby until then so I feel your pain! She first fell asleep solo in the middle of my bed unplanned really but from there I’ve worked at reading her cues.
