We are on day 2 of potty training and we have about 3 or 4 accidents a day. Half of the accidents she says she is peeing and half she just pees without mentioning. We have been good with poop in the potty. Any thoughts on how to encourage her more to either share she is about to pee or directly go to the potty instead of peeing where she is? I set an alarm for every hour and tell her to take a potty trip. I keep it to 30 minutes if after a food/liquid intake. The trickiest accidents are the ones that happen right after she actually used the potty so I was not on the look out for one right after.

Following because, We cracked potty training at home with naked bottom. My son was going every time without prompting. This took about 3 weeks but then he was due back at the childminder and so I tried him with pants and he had accidents every time. Sent him to the childminder in pants and loads of spare clothes and she said he just wasn’t getting it. We’ve taken a break now as he wasn’t telling us when he needed to go and every time we took him to the potty and pulled pants down he said ‘not yet’ then wandered off and had accidents instead. He was doing so well so felt a shame to go back to nappies but he just wasn’t getting in with pants on. Frustrating!
