Thanks Rachel. My partner believes he is clingy because no one really looks after him apart from us... I don't really believe that because I know it's a normal part of their development.. 🤷🏻♀️
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with a clingy child. I personally see it as they find that particular parent the safe zone. My child always comes to me for comfort and always goes to my partner for fun, it’s all about balance really. My child is well socialised but still isn’t comfortable around others without me or my partner being there. Even grandparents can’t take him for even 30 minutes without him kicking off. I take pride in the fact my child clings to me, because I’m obviously doing right by him. I’d obviously like time for myself, my relationship and general bits and bobs round the house, but it is what it is I can regulate my feelings my child cannot and I think your partner should take all that into account. Your doing great🤍 xx
Mines is 16months doesn’t get looked after by anyone else because he just won’t go with anyone else. Not in nursery but does go through phases of clingyness and favouring parent. Normally when teething or poorly.
