I have been on Zoloft since before I was pregnant and then soon as I found out I was pregnant I quit and then I went to the doctor because my anxiety depression was getting too much and they put me right back on my Zoloft and things were great baby was good. My pregnancy was amazing no complications no problems with her. I would just be upfront honest and talk to your doctor about it
I was on Zoloft for 3 babies. My middle child was born not breathing but he's alive and well. No other problems other than a week in the NICU. They attributed it to my antidepressants. But my other 2(girls) were fine. So it's hard to tell. Drs say it's one of the safer ones. I wouldn't have been able to manage without it so you have to weigh the pros and cons. ❤️
I was on Welbutrin before getting pregnant and when I found out I was pregnant my dr switched me to Zoloft. My OB who was a high risk OB told me she had had many patients on both drugs and not have issues with pregnancy or the baby have issues. Zoloft is considered safer. I took it my whole pregnancy and my son was born healthy no complications. I breastfeed for a year while taking the meds and have never had issues.
For me personally and my brain chemistry it worked wonders
I was taking Zoloft and everything went fine. My son is now 3 years old and he’s the happiest, healthiest and smartest little boy. Your mental health is very important during and after pregnancy. My doctor said Zoloft is perfectly safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Zoloft did nothing to help me so I stopped taking it at 2 weeks
@Kalina how is your middle child doing now?
@Ljubljana Smith completely healthy he turns 4 on the 12th.
I quit Zoloft as soon as I found out personally. It changes my brain chemistry so much, I can only imagine the implication for a developing baby brain. But if it's Zoloft or you're suicidal I guess you have to weigh benefits against risks. I've just learned to work through my emotions rather than medicating to feel none.
