Dirty nappy

I personally wouldnt class a “skid” in nappy as a poo nappy but I also wouldnt worry if she hasnt had a poonami type poo yet today, My son went from havibg about 5 poos a day to having 1 a day and my dr told me if been 2 days without then contact them but a baby going a day without even sometimes 2 is nothing to worry about x

When my LG was about 3 weeks I mentioned to the HV that she'd not pooped in 6 days but had what I'd describe as a 'wet fart' in that time and she said it counts.

Fwiw, no one was ever concerned that she was a once-a-week pooper (she pooped the day after the conversation with the HV). The HV said if she's farting, and boy was she tooting, then it's all working and theres no blockage/not constipated and breastmilk can have little waste product so they poop less. At 11½ weeks it was found she had a tongue tie and I started offering pumped top ups and she started having 3 or 4 poops a day!!

my little boy is 1 week and two days old, and he seems to poop like five times a day 😭🤣 almost after every bottle, he is a poo machine! they’re never massive, sometimes it’s mushy, sometimes they’re little poop nuggets, it varies 🤣 id say a skid or little poo is classed as a dirty nappy xxx

My health visitor said it’s actually normal for babies to go up to FIVE DAYS with no poos for a bit as they get into a routine for the first few months. I’d say this kinda sounds like your baby’s usual routine but then I’d check with a dr if you’re concerned.

Some babies don’t poo every day and that’s fine (according to the midwife as I had this worry!) x
