How long does you baby play independently for?

If you were to lie your baby on their play mat or sit in their bouncer etc and you walk away, how long will your baby be happy playing for on their own? The minute I stand up to walk away, no matter if I’m in eyesight, he will hysterically sob. I literally can’t move or do anything without him screaming. I understand he just wants his mama, but my God it is so frustrating🥴

My little girl is the same, it will only take a minute or two for her to cry when I’ve left. She is very clingy at the moment and no one else can hold her without her crying, even more so when she can see me 😂 I’m sure it’s just another phase! X

My girl is exactly the same and it's so mentally draining 😅

Aw separation anxiety is tough! Try playing lots of peekaboo games with your baby. It helps with object permanence

Probably 15 seconds until he reliases I’m not in touching distance 🤣 it’s actually getting me down that so many babies can do so much this age but my baby will legit only lie down and want to look at me. It’s sweet but so bloody hard x

I’m glad you’re all struggling along with me, I love how much he loves his mama, but also I want to be able to do something, anything, to get on top of the house 🥴😭 I can’t even leave him playing to do the washing up, and 30 seconds in his high chair he looses it! So frustrating 🥲

If he's on the floor next to me and I'm in the same room, he's totally fine but within a second of seeing me leave the room, he's hysterical 😫 I've just bought a fold up playmat that I'm going to start taking room to room for him with me so he can get some tummy time in and I can get the pots washed 🤣 sick of keeping putting him in his high chair

My boy has started doing this! He used to be fine if I left him playing to go to the toilet or grab some lunch and now he's crying everytime I stand up or pass him to someone else! 🙈 finding it really difficult. Hoping it's a phase that passes soon 🤞🏻

As long as my daughter is fed Nd got something interesting in front of her, she is fine on her own. Always has been - I have been lucky on this 🤍🤍🙏🏼 Can be 5mins or can be 20. But to make you feel better, I always comment on here how bad her naps are. More like non existent, she has always been up for 8hrs or so happily so there are no breaks for me 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

@Gabi my babies nap are becoming non existent and he won’t be left for two seconds so I’m massively struggling 😂 but I’m pleased for you that she’s happy to play alone!

If I'm talking to him, he will let me wash up and cook
