Hi 👋 - how to store expressed milk and sanitised bottle?

I’m attending a wedding and need to keep a bottle of expressed breast milk for the ceremony for my partner to give my baby. How do I store it / keep it warm? I’ve only ever bottle fed expressed milk at home with my older child so no idea how to go about it! I’m not sure how long before I’ll be able to express and how long I need to store it as I’ll be a bridesmaid

You can bring some ice pack and ice bag with you to keep it for 6-8 hours depending on your ice pack. Or expressed milk can be kept in room temperature for 4 hours then you can give to baby directly.

So it seems it’s different across the country 🤣 We have the 6 rule: 6hours room temp, 6days fridge, 6 months freezer You can use ice pack and ice bag and store it in that for 24hours

Thanks everyone, that’s really helpful! Any idea how to warm it up on the go? Maybe just a simple flask with warm water to pop the bottle in? X

@Jess that should work fine ☺️

@Jess yeah I use to take a hot flask with me If not you could always ask the venue

@Jess the tommee tippee flask is also a bottle warmer you can tip the boiling water into the white lid and heat it up that way when out! Been a life saver and only £7 in home bargains! We got ours in the north harbour store (I see you are a Pompey girl 😅) xx
