@Francesca 😭😭😭😭😭
I was asked to have absolutely no medication or food. The only exception on what you can have during the fasting period is water
Worth phoning the triage, see what they say, especially if it’s for a serious medical condition x
@Charlotte oh god. I will probably choke on my acid then x
@Robyn I feel your pain! It would be worth checking if your trust is any different with their rules. Which hopefully they are. I end up still having sickness in the morning if I haven't had food within half hour of waking up, so test day was joyful 😂
@Charlotte so so awful isn't it! I'm starving already lol tomorrows going to be a nightmare. I get super acidic on an empty stomach so the two hours between the tests will be an utter joy x
can you get omeprazole prescribed by your gp or midwife? works much better imo! you take it in the morning and after a few days it builds up a tolerance so i know you won’t be able to take it after 10, but it usually helps me until i next take it
Someone at my test had taken gaviscon before coming and they made them wait until they had passed 4hrs from taking it before would start test for them.
@Claire that's fine, I meant as in I was going to take it last night at 10pm
@Charlotte I was told to take my medication during the fasting period, so it must differ by trust. Definitely worth checking!
On my letter it said no to gaviscon during the fasting period x
