I delivered my girl in Guelph General hospital and I loved them. My was planned as a home birth with a heavy baby who was not getting engaged. So we decided to get induced and were still hoping she would get engaged but she didn't. Ultimately we had to go through a C section. Post the delivery my girl had breathing issues, due to which she admitted in NICU. I cant praise them enough for how they took care of her and mine. Just dont worry about it. They are amazing.
I delivered at Guelph general in Feb! It was a great experience. I had Dr strode. I had to have an emergency c section and she made me feel safe. We ended up needing to go to the nicu and some of the nurses that took care of my baby and i right after birth came to visit us there. I’m super appreciative of my time there. There was one nurse that worked over night that was kind of awful to me.. she was older and had ginger hair. I didn’t know that night 2 with a newborn is usually the worst. My baby wouldn’t sleep unless in my arms so then I couldn’t sleep with her there and I asked the nurse if that was normal and if there was something I could do and she simply stated “ well what did you expect “ and also was just super rude when I rang for more medication, which kind of hurt when your a new mom trying to figure it out and also in pain. I won’t let one rude lady take away from the experience though because all my other nurses went above and beyond for me and I wouldn’t change a thing.🩷
Thank you for sharing, loves!
Honestly both kiddos were delivered at Guelph Hospital and their labour and delivery floor is amazing, the nurses are so sweet and caring.
