Yeah, they can start cows milk when they turn 1 & don't need formula anymore.
I wondered this, like do you fully wean them off by 1… or as soon as they turn 1 switch them over as such. I have no clue?!
@Paige-Louise my first I gradually weaned off formula by mixing the formula with cows milk for a couple weeks. With my second I just did a straight swap on his first birthday. It all depends on how your child takes to it
@Jasmine ooo ok! I mean my LG isn’t a ‘milky’ child. She’s already dropping OZ as prefers food so might have to see about completely swapping when she turns 1 as we’re already reducing bottles too! So thank you!xx
@Paige-Louise yes! My first was all about her milk & not food hence the gradual swap. My second was dropping his milk by about 9 months, got to the point I was making only 2oz of cows milk for bedtime, he was taking 1 sip, pushing it away and then falling asleep so just ended up taking it away all together at 15ish months old x
Your little one might guide with this one! We tried weaning off formula at 12 months but he wanted absolutely nothing to do with cows milk. I think he might have been about 17/18 months before the managed to make the switch
Weaned off formula and onto cows milk at 12 months for all bottles. He’s 18 months now and doesn’t have any milk anymore
