Toddler started saying mama

My 17 month old finally can recognise that i am “Mama” - points or taps me when asked where is mama. He also says mama whenever he sees me as i enter the room but he still hasn’t called out mama to call me or get my attention. Is this normal? Have anyone’s kid done it differently?

I wish I never taught my son that I’m mama. It does my head in every single day. Every 5 seconds If he can’t see me he will literally scream from the top of his lungs ‘mama’

My little girl points to mama, dada and herself correctly and says it if we walk in a room etc but she doesn't call out yet either. She's 18m on the 11th x

My babe has only very recently started saying mama but doesn’t say it to call for me nor does she with dada

My 18 month old started saying mummy and will say it when he sees me but he never calls me. He calls his daddy only

Exact same

My son still doesn't say mama. He's just started saying da recently but not very often. Just some mornings when he wakes up (my husband goes in to get him up) or when he sees dad comes home from work

My little one only says it when he cry’s 🤦🏻‍♀️ he’s all for daddy I’ve never hear my little boy said mama or mummy when not crying
