Dummy Sterilising

Maybe a bit of a stupid question, but if you sterilise a dummy and it's case, then close it up, how long is it considered sterile for? Online everything says only 24 hours, so does that mean I need to resterilise every day even if it's not come out of the case?

My baby girl is 4 weeks on sunday and i used to stress about that subject as well as a first time mom but i have started to only sterilise it once a day and if it gets on floor facing down i will give it a wash and sterilise it if possible but my midwife told me if it gets on a floor facing up it is most likely good to be used without washing and sterlising, alot of times i just give it a wash and give back to the baby which makes me feel like a bad mom😅 my answer might not be what you looking for but i thought it might help

You can get a sterilising spray in boots that’s great for if you’re out and about and something happens! Just needs a quick spray and you’re set!

It depends on the brand. I used to have Tommy tippee and they said 24 hours but now I have mam ones and they say 48 hours or 72 hours. It all depends on the brand.

Milton wipes are good for this x
