Anyone else here sending their baby to nursery from 9mo (or earlier)? Everyone I know is taking a year off and sending their babies to nursery only after then but I can’t afford to take such a long leave and have to send my son to nursery when he’s 9mo. I feel terrible guilt and have been made to feel like I’m a bad mom. Is anyone else on the same boat? Need some encouragement.

My baby is starting at 10 months, same with her older sister. Ask yourself this, are you a bad mum for providing for your child by working?

My wee boy starts at 10 months. My daughter did the same and is now two and a half. It was an ideal age for her in terms of settling in quickly and easily and she has always adored nursery (she goes two days a week) and her lovely nursery ladies! Honestly it's always been a hugely positive experience for us. I'm excited for my son to have the same fun experiences she has had. Xxx

Mine will start at 8.5months x

Yes! In the same boat and feeling the added Mum guilt that my baby will be going to nursery full time / 5 days a week when others seem to be going for far less time. Reminding myself that we took extra care in selecting a nursery and I hope that over time she will be better socialised at nursery and learning more than I can teach her from home!

My baby started this week and he’s 7 months old on Monday, it’s horrible but we cannot afford to live on maternity wage 😢

I am back to work full-time. Started when my LO was 4 months old. He's not in nursery yet because my mum is with us. He'd be in Nursery as soon as mum leaves.
